IEC Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) Tour
The International Executive Council (IEC) kicked off 2020 with a successful educational tour of the Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD), a best practices, public agency providing wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal services for approximately 2.6 million people. 60 minutes did an expose on the advancements of this facility and how allied countries visit the facility to learn about our processes.
General Manager & Head of Operations & Maintenance, Rob Thompson, provided a general overview of OCSD’s infrastructure to our IEC members.
We were then guided to the other facilities, where millions of gallons of wastewater run through various layers of treatment before it is recycled back to our ecosystem. This was an eye-opening experience on a utility that we all too often take for granted.
I’m also excited to share our next few events lining up…with First American Corporation and Cirque du Soleil. Several other events around Enterprise Security, Ai/Machine Learning and Social Gaming are coming up! Beyond the events, our intimate Growth Councils have made a lasting impact for our Southern California members.
