Harvard Experts Share Outlook on National Security, Healthy Buildings and Safer Schools

The International Executive Council (IEC)’s latest web event featured two world-class thought leaders sharing their thoughts on the status of our National Security and Healthy Buildings.

Former Homeland Security Advisor, National Security and Global Crisis Response Expert, and CNN National Security Analyst, Juliette Kayyem, discussed the most critical Safety and Security Issues facing the US today and tomorrow. She identified three areas businesses must focus on for a safe and slow reopening of the country: minimize contact intensity, manage number of contacts, and maximize mitigation policies.

Joseph Allen, best selling author & director of the Healthy Buildings program, spoke on improving Indoor Air Quality monitoring and transparency, and vital KPIs to improve employee and company safety, health, and productivity. We spend 90% of our lives indoors, and Joe’s research highlights how just changing the air you breathe in subtle ways can influence higher order cognitive function and productivity.
