April 2, 2021
Dear IEC Members & Friends,
Please welcome new IEC member Colleen McNutt, CEO of Lightning Fit, as our next confirmed member of the International Executive Council (IEC). We have included her bio and Linkedin Profile below for your review.
Colleen founded Lightning Fit on the core belief that she should use her unique experiences and access to the best in wellness technologies to help other people achieve their fitness goals. She joined a big 4 accounting firm after graduating from Columbia University, where she played NCAA Division 1 volleyball. Driven to excel in the fast-paced business world, and committed to maintain her elite athleticism, Colleen experienced what many feel in their day to day lives: there is always so much to do, that staying fit is a struggle.
Colleen began to put together the optimized fitness strategy that forms the basis of Lightning Fit’s offering. In early 2016, she decided to leave accounting to launch Lightning Fit, with the goal of innovating the health and fitness industry.
Lightning Fit has since become the premiere EMS co-ed fitness facility. EMS training makes use of this effect. By employing external electro impulses, the natural effect is additionally intensified, and an effective workout can be achieved in a fraction of the time spent during conventional workouts. 20 minutes of Lightning Fit EMS training is equivalent to 3 hours of traditional weight lifting.
Colleen currently retains 100% ownership of Lightning Fit, with 4 existing locations. They are in the process of expanding our brick and mortar footprint outside of California and signing contracts with professional athletic organizations.
